A family enterprise
From farm to specialist company.
Their descendants Haraldur, Hans, Lára and Guðrún took over. The farm remained among the most productive in southwest Iceland for decades.
Magnús Sæmundsson took over, expanded the farm and added chickens alongside dairy production.
Ólafur M. Magnússon became involved in the family business and later took over its overall management.
KÚ Skyr was founded in 2009 and began operations in late 2010.
